Genesis hated going to Wal-Mart with a passion, but it was the place she could one stop shop; so no matter what, she was always in there. After paying for her items, she pushed the buggy forward without looking up and felt a bump shortly afterwards.

“Oh my God… I’m so sorry,” she apologized to the man that stood before her.

The sight of his chocolate skin filled with tattoos instantly turned her on, but she quickly dismissed the lustful thoughts that she was having since she was a married woman. The way that he stared at Genesis had her in a trance. She couldn’t ever remember a day in her life of being so turned on the way that she was right then.

“If you wasn’t so beautiful, I would give you hell… but all I want is your phone number, so you can make it up to me,” the man spoke in the sexiest voice that she had ever heard, causing her juices to flow instantly and soak her panties.

Get it together Genesis. She thought to herself.

“If I wasn’t married, I would probably take you up on that offer… but since I am, I can’t,” Genesis smiled and flashed her ring.

“Fuck that nigga… and if that’s the ring he gave you, then he don’t deserve you anyway.”

That bold ass comment both insulted and upset Genesis, and she knew that it was time for her to leave. The stranger standing in front of her was bold as hell, but Genesis couldn’t stand there and let him speak badly of her or her husband or her marriage. She loved her ring and that was all that mattered.

“Fuck you!” She made her way past him, rolling her eyes and kissing her teeth.

“Nigga… hey Miss Lady, forgive him. He was just playing,” the guy next to him chimed in.

“Nigga you know I ain’t playing. You see that crackerjack box ass ring she wearing.”

Genesis flipped him off and went on about her way.

“I’m just being honest, beautiful. The name is Maceo. Remember it because you gon’ be mine as soon as that lame ass nigga of yours fuck up.”

Genesis heard every word that the man had said, but she exited the busy store without looking back. Her marriage meant everything
to her and she wasn’t about to cheat. Sean was her high school sweetheart, and they jumped the broom almost two years ago. Some told Genesis to wait, but in her heart, she knew that Sean was the one for her and being married was something that she had always dreamt of. On her twenty-third birthday, they made it official. Genesis loaded her bags into her silver Honda Accord and smiled at the plans that she made for her twenty-fifth birthday, which would also be their two-year wedding anniversary. She turned the heat on high and backed out of her parking space a few minutes later. It was a cold ass February day and Genesis was over the winter. Spring needed to bring its ass on quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Something made Genesis look through the rearview mirror, and she noticed Maceo walking out of the store. It seemed as if he felt her because the two of them locked eyes. Even though he had upset Genesis, she shrugged it off because she knew that she would never see his ass again-- and that was a good thing. She normally went to Wal-Mart in Madison, but since she was home early from work and recently left the airport, she stopped at the one on Lakeland. The Jackson area would be considered small to people from cities like Chicago and Miami, but it was big enough that you didn’t see the same people often for Southerners.

Genesis made her way to her apartment and her phone rang a few minutes into the drive. She pulled it from her purse and saw that it was her crazy ass cousin Denise calling her.

“Hey Neicy,” she answered once the call connected.

“What’s up bitch? What you doin’?”

“Just left Wal-Mart and ‘bout to head home. What’s up?” she asked because she knew there was a reason for the call. More than likely, it was something that she wouldn’t want to deal with.

“Two things… I need that black dress I left at your place, so I’ll be by there in a min… and you going out wit me Friday and I ain’t taking no for an answer.”

  “Bitch I ain’t…”

Before Genesis could reply, her cousin had hung up.

“She makes me so sick,” Genesis mumbled under her breath.

Genesis rode the rest of the way home listening to Cardi B’s debut album. Even though she had heard Bodak Yellow a million times before, she still didn’t skip it when it sounded through the speakers, rapping right along with Cardi. The album hadn’t been out too long. Genesis never found time to listen to full albums, but she made time for Cardi. About twenty minutes later, she turned into The Vineyard at Castlewood. She smiled when she saw Sean’s car in the space that he always occupied. She figured that he would still be at work, but was pleasantly surprised because she could use some of his bomb ass sex at that moment. Working as a traveling nurse was very rewarding; but often times, it could be stressful and draining. Genesis grabbed a couple of the bags when she got out and headed towards her door. She could have tripled up, but since Sean was home, she figured that he could go back out and get them.

When she made it to the door, she put her key in and twisted the knob. Genesis didn’t hear it click and that meant that the door wasn’t locked. They lived in a good neighborhood, but locking the door was always natural; she wondered why Sean didn’t have it locked. Genesis shrugged it off and made her way inside out of the cold. Music was coming from the surround sound and Genesis knew that Sean had to be in his man cave playing the game. She dropped the bags on the table and made her way to where she knew he was. Genesis couldn’t wait to be wrapped up in Sean’s arms. The thought of him beating her pussy up made her smile, forgetting about the mishap that occurred at Wal-Mart earlier.

“Hey bab…” Genesis cut her sentence short after she opened the door and saw her husband’s dick down the throat of some bitch that she had never seen before.

“WHAT THE FUCK?” Genesis screamed and lunged forward.

  2

The warmth of Shakela’s mouth on Sean’s dick had him feeling so damn good that he never heard the door open. He didn’t snap back to reality until he heard screams coming from both Genesis and Shakela. By the time he was focused, Genesis had pulled Kela by her long weave and pulled her off of him. It only took point two seconds for his dick to shrivel up. He knew that he should have pulled Genesis off of Shakela, but instead he reached down, grabbed his boxers and sweats, and threw them on. He had never known Genesis to be a fighter, but she was whooping Kela’s ass like Diamond whooped Ronnie’s ass in the locker room on The Players Club.

“Wa… wa… Wait baby… it’s not what it look like!” Sean exclaimed as he grabbed Genesis by the arms.

“What the fuck you mean it ain’t what it look like? It looks exactly like this bitch was eating your dick and you damn shol’ were enjoying it. LET ME THE FUCK GO!!! Genesis fought against him.

Genesis was stronger than Sean had given her credit for, so he had to tighten his grip on her, stopping her from drawing more blood on his arms with her fingernails. Sean watched out of the corner of his eyes as Kela grabbed her clothes, but before she could exit, Genesis’ cousin appeared in the doorway.

“What the fuck y’all got goin’ on?”

“I caught this bitch sucking this nigga’s dick and I’m finna bury both of ‘em,” Genesis nodded towards Kela first then Sean, still trying to escape his grip.

After those words left her mouth, Sean watched as Neicy went in on Kela. He knew that if he let Genesis go and tried to break that fight up, his marriage would have been over; so he continued to hold onto his wife until Neicy finally stopped beating Kela’s ass. She basically crawled out a little while later with Neicy talking cash money shit.

“And you nigga… what the fuck you playing my cousin for? I knew you wasn’t shit… you high yellow muthafucka!”

When she reached him and hit him upside the head, Sean had no choice but to let Genesis go. They tag-teamed his ass until he finally had no choice but to surrender and leave. He didn’t want to hit either one of them, especially Genesis. Sean left after Genesis refused to talk to him and allow him to explain anything. Sean saw the hurt in Genesis’ eyes and didn’t want to leave, but he didn’t have much of a choice at that moment. He told himself that he would give her a little while to cool off before returning home and making everything alright. Not wanting to bother any of his boys, Sean hopped in his car and headed towards the M-Bar, pulling up twenty minutes later. It was still early, but he figured it was five o’clock somewhere and said what the hell after he parked and went inside.

Sean walked in and copped a seat at the bar. He noticed a sexy bartender that he had never seen before smiling and walking his way. On any other day, he would have been ready to flirt and entertain a new face, but with the recent events, Sean knew that he had to keep it clean.

“Hey handsome, what can I get for ya?”

He was used to women coming on to him. Whoever said light skinned niggas were out of style clearly didn’t know Sean Alexander. Standing at five feet nine with grey eyes and a southern charm, he was irresistible to women.

“Let me get a double shot of Henny… on the rocks.”

“Coming right up,” she flirted and sashayed off.

As soon as she turned her back, Sean felt his phone vibrating. He figured that it was Kela calling again, but once he noticed that it was his homie Paul, he went ahead and answered.

  “What up man?”

“Shit… what the fuck happened? Kela called crying and shit,” Paul complained.

“Man… shit wild. I don’t even know. One minute we were spending time together and the next, hurricane Genesis came through outta nowhere tearing up shit. Surprised the fuck outta me! Mannnnn…” Sean picked up his drink and downed it as soon as the bartender sat it down in front of him.

He knew that he was going to have to hear Paul’s mouth, but he didn’t know that it was going to be so soon. In the past, when him and Kela had any issues, she would always wait a few days before she told her brother anything. Sean silently wished that he would have ignored the call. He listened as Paul cussed him out. Honestly, there was no reason to try to defend himself because ultimately
, he was wrong and he knew it.

“I told y’all to end that shit years ago… LEAVE MY SISTER THE FUCK ALONE SEAN!!” Paul yelled and hung up before he had time to respond.

Paul had been Sean’s boy for as long as he could remember. They went all the way back to grade school up until their current ages of twenty-five… they were still rocking. When Sean slept with Kela when they were growing up, the fight him and Paul had almost ended their friendship, but they made it through. It was true that men were able to mend relationships quicker than women, even after they kicked each other’s asses. It was always all about Shakela, at least until Genesis came along with her undeniable black beauty and innocence. She was the new girl at Jim Hill High School and Sean just had to have her. When Sean broke up with Kela for Genesis his junior year, she moved and went to live with her dad in Louisiana, cutting him off. Genesis never knew anything about her and Sean vowed to keep it that way. Paul beat his ass once he found out what had been going on behind his back.
